Dairy and Diabetes

A good diabetes defense may be in a glass of milk or cup of yogurt.

According to a study in the journal Diabetes Care, eating or drinking low-fat dairy products may cut your risk of type 2 diabetes.

Dairy products cause your body to release amino acids and hormones that trigger the production of insulin, which may help reduce your risk of the disease.

Try to get at least three daily servings of low-fat or fat-free dairy.
