Animal Communicator

German Patent No. WO98/21939

Many animals express themselves aurally, each movement of the ear fraught with meaning.

In contrast, most human ears are mere inert flaps of cartilage.

A trio of German inventors came up with a way to make human ears more animal-like in 1998: a pair of vaguely equine ears attached to a curved band that fits over the head. What makes this device different from various novelty headgear worn at parties is that the ears can be independently set at a vast range of angles, each presumably representing a different message.

The inventors claim they have actually communicated with horses using their device, but won't reveal details of their discussion.
