Color Psychology, Can color control you?

Researchers have generally found the following to be true about various colors:

Black: It's perceived as the color of authority and power. It's popular in fashion because it makes people appear to be thinner.

Red: Red stimulates a faster heartbeat and breathing. It is also the color of love. Red clothing gets noticed; it also makes the wearer appear heavier.

Blue: Blue is one of the most popular colors. It causes the opposite reaction as red, causing the body to produce calming chemicals. Fashion consultants recommend wearing blue to job interviews, because it symbolizes loyalty.

Green: Currently the most popular decorating color, green symbolizes nature. It is the easiest color on the eye and is considered calming and refreshing. People waiting to appear on TV sit in “green rooms” to relax.

Yellow: Considered an optimistic color, research also shows that people lose their tempers more often in yellow rooms, and babies cry more often. It enhances concentration, which is why it is used as the color of legal notepads.

Brown: Solid and reliable, brown is the color of earth, and it is abundant in nature. Men are more apt than women to list brown as a favorite color.
