There are many different names for males and females of various species.

Here are a few:

Bear: the male is a boar; the female is a sow; a baby bear is a cub

Cat: the male is a tom; the female is a queen; the baby is a kitten

Deer: the male is a buck; the female is a doe; the baby is a fawn

Donkey: the male is a jack; the female is a jenny; the baby is a foal

Dog: the male is a dog; the female is a bitch; the baby is a puppy

Duck: the male is a drake; the female is a duck; the baby is a duckling

Fox: the male is a dog; the female is a vixen; the baby is a kit or cub

Goose: the male is a gander; the female is a goose; the baby is a gosling

Horse: the male is a stallion; the female is a mare; the baby is a foal

Opossum: the male is a jack; the female is a jill; the baby is a joey
