Dry The Buds

Dry The Buds

The total amount of marijuana drying in the picture will be about 1 pound (454 grams) after it has dried. You can use a closet to dry a small crop, like the one shown. However, a large crop might require a room or basement.

The buds can be hung on some string or wire that has been secured to a wall or other secure stationary object. Thumbtacks, nails, and screws can be used to hold the string or wire to whatever it will be held to.

Be sure your setup will be able to hold the weight of the marijuana that is going to be hung on it. Screws or nails that are stuck into wood can support a lot of weight. Leave enough room between the plants for air to circulate.

To dry properly, conditions should be somewhere within the following ranges, temperature should be between 65-75 degrees F, relative humidity should be between 45%-55%. The marijuana will take a week or two to dry under the above conditions.
