Operation Overgrow Big Brother
Starting June 1st - July 1st
Our Mission - to reintroduce the Cannabis Sativa Plant into our surrounding
environment in order to ease the pressures of illegalization.
With hundreds, possibly thousands of Men and Woman participating in this venture,
Marijuana is sure too be legal soon. We will all start at the same time and finish
around the same time. With online pictures and day by day, week by week information
on what to do at each stage of growth including
Germination.
It's like growing with Bonhomme by your side!
Marijuana is a very versatile plant. It has many uses and has been used as Medicine
for 10,000 years. It grows wild in many parts of the world including the USA notably
Oregon.
Imagine the beauty of thousands of Marijuana plots growing in the wild,
year after year. You could pick plants from your personal weed patch every year.
The plants would reproduce naturally in the wild and spread in small weed stands just
like many other weeds do.
To be a part of this monumental action, simply keep all the seeds
from the best marijuana you come across. Save several kinds to have a wide range of
genetics. The strongest or best adapted to your location will survive.
"To help guide all you new and semi experienced
growers, we will be offering step by step instructions including many photos detailing
every stage of development!"
We will actually be monitoring the grow operation of a Medical Marijuana patient.
Naturally she will be using "Bonhommes" Seeds also.
On June 1st get ready to be part of the biggest grow
operation ever! Assuming everybody starts germination on June 1st and visits
the web site for step by step instructions and pictures of what we are doing; soil
mixes, watering cycles, fertilizing etc. Nobody should "mess up the operation"
"We will be your experienced partners".
June 1st is the date we are starting. So get seeds Now!
(Seeds can be started up to July - August depending upon your weather
conditions. In Canada however you must start seeds by at least June 21 to have
good results. Plants need 3 months to mature before the first frost in the fall.)
If you haven't started your seeds yet or still plan to get seeds you can still
follow our grow operation. Just keep track of when you start and follow our weekly
updates. Those who start later will have smaller plants 1/5 oz to 4 oz per plant,
but they will develop buds faster and mature fully.
First Steps
Week 0
>The only way we are going to get what we want is by working for it. The Cannabis
Sativa plant has been repressed for too long. We want Cannabis to be abundant for all
who care about its existence and the beautiful role it has in our lives.
We are quite fortunate that Marijuana is such a hardy plant that will survive
in a wide variety of soil types and climates. It is us that need to ensure its
survival continues.
WHAT: Overgrow big Bro initiative is: Lessening the pressures of marijuana
criminalization by reintroducing the herb into our earth's landscape.
ALSO:
We will be Growing with you. Step by Step taking photos of the development at
every stage! Also we will guide you with everything from
Germination
to Fertilizing and Harvesting.
WHERE:
- Anywhere that can sustain plant life.
- Along: back yards, along creeks, rivers, farms, orchards, railway tracks, dirt roads.
- National parks and reserves and other unused land.
- Hills facing south that are not easily accessible are ideal.
HOW:
- Most modern types of Cannabis mature from seed in 3 months. With the right seeds
there are few places it cannot grow! Look for prospective areas now. Each plant
should use 3 ft x 3 ft of land. Your plot should be in the middle of a pretty
bushy area. It is recommended that the seeds are started indoors (if possible)
a few weeks before outdoor transplanting. Some of the biggest outdoor plants
I have seen have been grown in pots filled with potting soil except the bottom
two inches which has is a layer of large gravel. This allows good drainage.
DETAILS:
1. Obtaining seeds. Save the seeds from the good weed you smoke by all means use
them this spring! Please do not plant the seeds of mediocre or bad weed! Or else you will
grow mediocre, bad weed!
The ideal seeds would be of potent outdoor weed which has been grown for several generations
in your area of the world. If you already have such seeds, by all means please sow your brains
out this spring!
Bonhommes Seed Bank has a Outdoor Mix for all who want to be involved with overgrowing
the government this year. This package contains 5-20-50 of the hardiest outdoor varieties
on or off our *menu* and is sure to please all tastes. These seeds will grow into plants
that vary greatly and mature at different times. This makes them hard to find. Although
you can only guess the cannabis varieties, they will definitely keep you intrigued.
2. Prospecting land:
Think of what you have around you. Be it vacant islands, nature reserves, your back yard or
unused land. All of these can be used for this project. Just walk along some rural train tracks
or power lines. They usually build things like that around places where people don't really live.
A naturally open area with good soil is ideal and what you should be looking for. The easiest,
decently open place is at the sides of farms where the farmers field meets a strip of trees that
farmers leave to break the wind. I have grown weed on the east side of these strips that go north
and south with good results. I recommend finding a strip of trees that are going east to west and
plant on the south side. This way the plants get alot of sun because the south side is a open field
(farm) plus will blend with the treed area they are beside. This also works with ponds and lakes.
Plant at the edge of the north side from the east to the west. (if it is a pond lake or water hole
in a secluded area the chances of being found are low) Because all water areas are enclosed every
one has a north side facing south - make use of them! Usually this type of land at the edge of
water has drainage problems so use large 5 gallon pots or grow bags for awesome results.
Working outdoors is nice in the early morning. The morning is good for the fact that you can
see where the sun is rising (east) and be able to know which direction is south. In summer the
sun shines from the south in the northern hemisphere, the opposite is true for our friends in
Australia (southern hemisphere). Plant on the south side of hills or walls to get the daylight.

Trails: Avoid human trails and car tracks. You must also be sure not to make
your own trails. This can be avoided by taking huge strides instead of walking. It may also be
appropriate to make false trails by walking along your trail which leads to your plot but before
you reach your plot make a turn away from from plot. Then walk backwards or turn around and retrace
your path until you get back to where you turned away. Then jump off of this trail and hop or walk
with long strides to your where your plot is.
Week 1
Sowing your seeds.
Start your seeds by soaking them in distilled water for 12 hours. Then transplant them
(cracked or not) into small pots with store bought potting soil. See
Germination guide.
Before seeds sprout place under a humidity tent, remove for a few minutes daily to supply
fresh air. Place humidity tent near a sunny window, cool-white fluorescent tubes, or 4 feet
from HID lights. If you use sunlight don't give direct light while the seedlings are under the
tent. You may use a clear plastic cup for a humidity tent. Keep under tent until first set of
spiked leaves appear, About 24-48 hours after they push through soil.
Slowly increase the amount of light by placing closer to lights or in additional direct
sunlight. The optimum humidity is 50% (once tent is removed) over 70% increases risk of
mold. Place a fan (low setting) a few feet from seedlings to strengthen stems and decrease
chance of mold in high humidity environment.. Be careful not to provide too much wind which
will dry out the seedlings. Humidity levels below 40% will kill seedlings! get a cheap
thermometer/humidifier
(Natures Way Digital Hygrometer and Thermometer
to monitor the climate.
If you are using artificial light give 24 hours daily to increase growth rate. If plants appear
to be stretching give more light, less humidity.
Do not fertilize until the second set of spiked leaves appear. (Week 2-3)
Week 2 and Week 3
Week 2 and 3
One week after germination (which may be several days after seeds were planted) the
seedlings will show a full set of cotyledon (round leaves) and a first node of spikes
leaves. Water the seedlings when the top layer starts to dry out. If you started in
1-2 inch cubes transplant to 4-6 inch plastic pots. A good organic soil mix, that we are
using is 1/3 Black Earth Topsoil,1/3 Sheep Manure, 1/3 perlite with added bone meal
and blood meal and 5% gardening lime. Follow the directions for the bone meal and
blood meal.
Mix well and moisten a little. Place in pots loosely. Don't pack the soil in tight or
the roots wont be able to grow well. Water thoroughly with a transplant fertilizer once
(half strength for seedlings). Continue to monitor humidity and make sure it is optimum
50-70%. Also continue to provide a gentle wind. Continue to place seedlings closer to HID
lights Never place closer than 2 feet to these lamps! Place 1 inch away from cool-white
florescence. The closer the better. Ours are currently touching them. The most important
development at this stage are the roots. You require a good root system to have a strong
healthy plant.
By now you should also have an idea of where you will grow. Around the outskirts
of town there may be unused land. Also around creeks and hilly areas. Don't go and chop down
a bunch of forests if you don't have to, it is much better to find a area with a lower population
of big trees. Look for smaller trees and bushes (such as weeds and raspberries, tall grasses)
Don't plant in swampy areas or areas with poor drainage (such as soft mushy low lying areas)
Make sure people cannot observe you entering your plot.
Hills are good because they hide you from nosy folks. Also people don't generally just walk
up and down hills where there is no path. Especially in a very bushy area. Plant close to a creek
to make watering a easier task. Don't plant too close to the creek however.
Good soil has lots of healthy roots. Squeeze the soil in your hand, it should fall apart
when you poke it.
You can also test the PH and nutrients in the soil with a easy to use
Rapitest Soil Test Kit
.

The soil PH should be close to 6.5 if it is between 6-7 it will grow but certain
nutrients will be less available to the roots. If it is below 6 you can raise it by
adding lime. If it is above 7 find a new plot or grow in pots with store bought soil.
If you buy soil, avoid peat moss and sphagnum moss based soils which have too low PH
for good growth.
When your trees reach the 2nd-3rd node and are 4 inches tall start fertilizing
with a 20-20-20 fertilizer such as Miracle Grow. Give 25% strength for the first week
and increase to 50% the second week until you reach full strength. DO NOT OVER FERTILIZE.
This will kill the plants. Light intensity is much more important for fast growth. Marijuana
does not like too much water, so water when top inch of soil is drying out.
10 days old (from germination) This plant is on the second node.
Week 4 - Week 6
Week 4-6
Now it's time to get ready to plant! It should be about June 21- July 15. Plants can be
transplanted outside up to August. In Australia plants go out in December or January.
Your plants should be 6 inches to 1.5 feet tall. Prepare your plants by exposing
them to a few hours of sunlight per day for 2-3 days (if possible). This is very important
because the sun will burn plants that have been used to much weaker fluorescent lights! You
may also leave the plants outside in an open box under a tree for a day or two. This will
allow the plants to get used to the sun before being fully exposed.
IMPORTANT: Get
Vita Grow Anti-wilt Concentrate - 16oz
or
WILT-PRUF CONCENTRATE PT 12
These products are a lifesaver. It is a spray made from liquid plastic polymers. its purpose
is to help plants survive transplanting by locking in the plants moisture. I have also found
it works wonderfully for preventing sun damage to fragile young plants.
While planting on a very hot day, we did an experiment and sprayed Anti-Wilt on all but 5 plants.
Within 1 hour the plants not given the spray were badly wilted! All others were fine! We thought the
wilted plants were goners. We sprayed them anyway and within half an hour they were standing tall
again. It was the shortest experiment I have done! If you start seeds outdoors or regularly expose
them to sunlight "Anti-Wilt" is not necessary but still helps to prevent the plants from drying out
before they grow new roots.
It is also important to ensure plants get a good start by Spraying them with bug spray,
There are natural sprays available or use a regular Garden bug spray. We have found that
after a few weeks of receiving a weekly spray, the plants grow so fast that bugs can do
little damage!
To save you trouble spray the plants with Anti-Wilt and bug spray while they are close
together and before you transplant them.
Make sure your location has lots of bush. No cracked clay soils! Sandy soils are good.
Use a shovel to dig holes about 1.5 feet deep and 1 foot diameter. At least a foot between
holes. If the plants are too close they will not grow very big. DO NOT PLANT IN ROWS! Be as
abstract as nature! The way most plots are observed from the air is in rows! Which are easy
for the human eye to spot in the middle of wilderness. DON'T CLEAR THE LAND! Just leave the
bushes and trees as intact as possible. This is similar to planting trees as opposed to a
garden. Place 1 or 2 handfuls of slow release 20-20-20 fertilizer in each hole or Bone Meal
and Blood Meal. If you cannot come back to water often and it does not rain at least once a
week in your area obtain Water holding crystals. Use a few tablespoons per hole. Wet it first
because it will expand in the hole if dry. This stuff holds tremendous amounts of water and
plants will survive the worst drought. Such as we are having in Toronto this year! Mix well
with soil removed from hole and place plants on top of about half the soil. Fill in with the
rest of the soil and use dead weeds and grass to cover exposed dirt. Plant as deep as the
first set of true leaves. Roots will grow up to the soil level. There should be no visible
hole or mound after the hole is filled. Water well with Transplant fertilizer and
SUPERthrive
if available.
Now let nature do its work! Water at least twice the first week. If it rains your in
luck. But give another dose of Bug spray and "Anti-Wilt" if it gets washed of by rain
for the first 2 weeks.
By week 6 (two weeks outdoors) The plants are in fast growth stage and will grow 1-2
inches per day for the next month! Water weekly with Miracle grow as needed. But if you
are going away for a few weeks don't worry. Our plot was left for over a month during the
middle of the summer heat wave and drought. All the other weeds were wilting or dead but
almost all the Ganja Trees were doing fine!
6 weeks old - This plant is 3 feet tall
Week 7 - Week 10
Week 7,8

Now your plants should be about 4 feet tall if not pruned.
At this stage weekly rain will be fine. If it rains less, as it has in T.O this hot, dry
summer, Water by hand, hose or pump. A little water goes a long way when the soil is bone
dry! Clear away weeds growing within a foot around the plant.
Some early showing varieties such as Alaska and Early California may be showing their sex
at this time. If male flowers are clearly visible cut plants below branches.
Check for males weekly, to have quality seedless females.

Week 9,10
The second half of summer is here, males are showing and females
are getting bushier daily. Water weekly with a flowering fertilizer such as
10-60-10 We have found bug spray is not needed as the plants are growing way
too fast for any real damage to be noticeable. Some varieties have reached a
height of 6 feet. We have tied these down to prevent detection as well as to
increase the overall yield. Bending plants and tying them down results in several
heavy colas. Also a greater surface area is exposed to intense sunlight.

Week 11 - Week 12
The harvest has begun...
Week 11,12
"WOW" At this stage its all females. White pistils, and shiny crystallized
resin are forming at a rapid rate! Vertical growth has halted and some thicker buds can
be harvested early for inspiration! Just take a few branches. This will last you for the
few remaining weeks till harvest.
One new variety Black Power( An Early finishing Cross between Black Widow and Purple Power)
has practically completed flowering on August 23! This dark purple plant is very medicinal and
has a pungent aroma. It is mature in Canada a full month before most buds will be ripe! This
is very exciting. These 4 foot plants totaled 5 ounces of dried manicured buds each (moderate
yield).
These seeds should be available for sale by "Spring 2001"
The final harvest!
It was a real success. unfortunately the digital film got corrupted. Harvest was about
1 month after the pictures above were taken. The average marijuana plant was about 1/4
pounds, (dried manicured.) Our Medical patient has enough bud to last till next year,
40 Oz or 2 1/2 pounds from 10 females, leaves and stems for tea and ganja butter, 1/2 ounce
of finger hash after manicuring. We have received many reports of success from men and women
who vow to do it again next year!(2000)
A few have planned early retirement!
Note if your buds are 3/4 brown pistils harvest now! Use a sharp pair of shears and
cut individual branches into 4 foot lengths. Smaller plants may be cut below the branches.
Try not to agitate the plants unnecessarily or you will disturb the resin glands.
Hang to dry, then trim all large and small leaves, except those with lots of resin.
The remaining manicured buds can be stored in mason jars or plastic containers, dry first.
Buds can be frozen for later use. Dry slowly as possible for the best cure (watch for mold).
If you vacuum seal and freeze your buds they will last forever! The leaves and stalks can
be concentrated and used to make Ganja Butter, hash, oil, or tea.
That was fun, see you next spring!
