What's wrong with Corporate Technology Management

Disqualifying Criteria for a Security Clearance
Hi Professional,
You have rights, but big business doesn't want you to know about current
"Master-Slave laws" and the unique, state labor codes which protects you in pro-employee states!
When business goes down hill, or cycles into recession-depression, Big CEOs call their lawyers
in and develop negative systems to get rid of redundancy, caused by the incompetent
"techie managers," who may function at the minimum level, but fail at strategic leadership and
human leadership tasks. They want to get you out the door without you suing them-they set you
up mentally, long before this layoff event-you then experience what you are now going through
and feel you have no labor rights as a professional, in an "at-will" relationship with "Mr. Big" --Bull $$!
Get a good pro-employee, labor lawyer: if they mess with your good reputation-the ending
of this relationship should put both of you in a positive inertia to move on and both have
success-in time you will pick up the Wall Street Journal and see Mr. Big's company is in
bankruptcy and those techie managers are back at "Big Mac" serving fries with salt!
All high tech companies are socially unstable, (I have worked at five majors in 30 years)--they
ARE highly entropic and dysfunctional in human relationships. Most high tech managers never become
good senior executives--real senior managers know this! To be assessed by a techie manager means nothing!
The Take Away: As a professional employee, Concentrate on your skills, but also work on your human
relations for the next job- Most of my "techie managers" have put our companies into bankruptcy over
the last three decades! I can name five to date! The senior Republican and Democratic Parties no longer
ask these types to dinners...they are broke and leaderless!
They have ruled so badly, and lost so much of stockholder's equity-they have to finish their lives alone.
The point: real manager-leaders know this short coming in the high tech sectors and can't take anything
these managers say about you seriously, good or bad! The law suites are many, I have witnessed depositions
of "hack managers" who tried to sabotage former employees (either sub-managers or professional engineer
employees)-to no avail. It is a big cost, major employers do not want people to know about. The root cause
is the techie managers lack of objectivity and defensive rationalization of his/her reality!
Therefore, only dates of hire, and job titles are given by most major employers. We even keep our
techie managers on, after having a cocaine habit! Historically, State laws had to engage this phenomena,
as the birth of high tech employment produced so many, so called "managers with only techie qualities"
which proved to be the root cause of failed management and the root cause of corporate financial failures!
I was an Officer in the military and had security clearances for everything-no big deal as long as you
didn't commit a felony or hang out with an enemy of the U.S.
Your current CEO probably had to put up with "hack techie managers"-he made it, I am sure
you can if you understand this old framework of organizational behaviors! This level of
management has been around since the time of Kings when court techies who designed weapons
could not lead themselves out of a Castle's puddle!
Good Luck,
Veteran of the Hack Era of Managers and job references...
