Comedy Face Masks

 

Saffron Aioli

A delicious spread and/or sauce depending on how you like it

Makes about 3/4 cup

  • 1/8 teaspoon saffron threads
  • 1 teaspoon warm water
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Pinch salt
  • Pinch white pepper

In a cup, hydrate saffron in warm water for a minute. You will be using the water and the saffron in the recipe.

Put all ingredients into a food processor. Blend well. Alternatively, put all the ingredients in a deep bowl and blend with a hand-held immersion blender. The aioli can also be made by hand. Mince the garlic and combine in a bowl with the saffron water, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix until well-combined. Serve as a dipping sauce with french fries.
