Comedy Face Masks

 

Mrs. Field's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes about 112 cookies

  • 2 cups butter,
    at room temperature
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 5 cups quick-cooking oatmeal (measure first, then blend to a powder in a food processor)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 (24-ounce) bag chocolate chips
  • 1 (8-ounce) Hershey chocolate bar, grated
  • 3 cups chopped nuts

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

In another mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture and beat together. Stir in the chocolate chips, grated chocolate and nuts.

Place golf-ball-size portions of the dough on ungreased cookie sheets. Place 2 inches apart and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

The recipe can be halved.
