Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle

12 servings

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 pints fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar

 

Combine cream cheese and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat at high speed of an electric mixer until well mixed. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Beat whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Fold whipped cream into cream-cheese mixture. Add cake and stir gently to coat well.

In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and 1/2 cup sugar. Layer the strawberries and the cream-cheese mixture in a trifle bowl, beginning and ending with the strawberries.

Per serving: 450 calories, 25 g fat, 77 mg cholesterol, 391 mg sodium, 53 g carbohydrates, 6 g protein, 2 g fiber.
