Best Banana Nut Bread

Makes 10 Servings:

Preparation Time: 1 hour 30 min.

  • 1 cups sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cube (1/2 cup) softened butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 medium bananas (1 1/2 cups) mashed
  • 1/2 cup milk or half and half
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven 350 degrees Grease and dust with flour 9x5x3 loaf pan (bread pan) In a medium bowl combine the flour, soda, baking powder and salt. in seperate bowl beat together butter and sugar, beat in eggs one at a time, stir in the vanilla. Then Stir in flour mixture alternately, with mashed bananas and milk.

Stir in 3/4 of the
nuts, pour into pan, arrange remaining nuts on top and bake for 1 hour 20 minutes, when done remove from oven, place on a wire rack. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan
and finish cooling. Best used the next day.

This is the best Banana Nut bread I have ever eaten, you will be a gourmet of cooks
