What happened, a car accident?

A fellow named Frank is sitting in his living room, watching TV, when the doorbell rings. Opening the door, Frank is confronted by a 6-foot-tall cockroach that grabs him by the neck, beats him about the head and shoulders, and then leaves.

The next night, Frank's doorbell rings again. Frank answers: It's the same 6-foot-tall cockroach, who proceeds to punch Frank in the stomach before departing.

On the third night, the same thing happens again, only this time the cockroach beats Frank badly enough that he winds up in the emergency room.

The attending physician, while stitching Frank up, inquired about the nature of his injuries. Frank told him. Another doctor, wandering by, sees Frank and pulls the first doctor aside.

“What happened to him?” he asks. “A car accident?”

“No,” replies the first doctor. “Some kind of nasty bug.”
