Little league today

It's a Little League baseball game and at a crucial point, the coach calls one of his nine-year-old players aside.

"Do you understand what cooperation is?" he asked. The kid nods in the affirmative. "How about "team spirit"?" "Sure", the kid says. "Do you understand that what really matters is not whether we win or lose, but how we perform as a team?" "Yeah, I guess so." "Okay. So then I'm certain that you know, when an "out" is called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the umpire, or tell him he needs a seeing-eye dog. Do you understand all that?" Again the little boy nods, "Yes". The coach continued, "So when I can see that you're tiring and I take you out of the game to let another boy get a chance to play, it's not good sportsmanship to call your coach a dumb ass, is it?" "No sir, it aint."

"Good", said the coach. "Now go over there and explain all that to your grandmother."
