Light and ultra-light not equal

'LIGHT' CIGARETTES

'Light” and “ultralight” do not equal “less” when it comes to menthol cigarettes. A study in Nicotine & Tobacco Research found that “light” mentholated cigarettes have more menthol than their regular counterparts. And, by masking harshness, menthol lets smokers take longer, deeper puffs, which expose them to more harmful substances.

NO LIGHT SMOKING

There's no such thing as “light smoking.” All smoking is a heavy risk. Smoking just one to four cigarettes a day for 30 years raised the risk of death by heart disease by more than 300 percent in a Norwegian study of 43,000 adults. The lung cancer risk was three to five times that of nonsmokers.
