Robert "'Bob' Rolling Ball" has passed over.
December 7, 2008: 9:15AM (Phoenix)
It is with deepest sympathies that
I report, Robert "Bob" Ball aka "Rolling Ball Productions"
has passed away.
Apparently from complications of a simple "Biopsy".
Bob was one of my best friends, and truly my most challenging friend. We discussed
everything within reality, then moved on into worlds where facts were morphed into different things.
A simple method of challenging anything known or claimed to be true. By us or others.
Our discussions ranged from reasonable to bazaar, reasonable to radical.
I will miss my friend at many levels, which I can never explain to others. Bob was truly unique.
My understanding is that Bob went into the hospital on Thursday, last for a routine biopsy. While
successful, soon developed complications leading to life support systems as the only thing keeping his body going.
I am certain that (following Bobs wishes" His sister Jan and other family members discontinued support at about 9:15AM.
Bob passed away within minutes. I think Bob had concluded that it was his time., there was no hanging on...
For myself, I will miss him deeply. I know other friends including Karen B.,
Javier ?, Sheri M., Joe G., Brent B.
Guy ?. of San Diego and Escondido California will miss his cheerful outlook and weird humor and
jokes as much as I.
From my knowledge of Bob, he loved his friends, maintaining contacts with all he could, some even 50 years
after life events forced moving away. Photography was a huge passion of Bob's, something we discussed way to late into
the phone bills, politics truly was a passion, thus spawning "Ball Reports" and way too many late night phone bills.
I first met Bob on a "Torry Pines Ski Club" bicycle ride. Our friendship began and flourished as friendly competitors,
two wheels on the road. Mexican rides ending with Fish Taco's and Beer (mostly for me), Bob just loved being there.
I always thought of Bob as "My Short little Hillbilly Friend", although he was really wasn't
a hillbilly, wasn't really that short, he is truly my friend,
Some friends are special, (No funny meanings) Bob was truly a special friend, always supportive, happy for success,
a love of life and beauty (Especially "Nature" and of course beautiful women (particularly one listed above)).
Bob has passed, however "Ball Reports" will continue.
Henceforth all articles will be guest authored, (In Honor of Bob), thought some may have been
influenced by Bob himself
Bob, you have been a great friend, I do and will miss you in many ways and times.
Wherever or whatever the after-life is, if any, I wish you a speedy journey, happy fields and ask only that you let me know the truth of what is beyond
Thank you for many years of friendship
Ed
