DER GLOCK

DER SPIEL

Here is some trivia to liven up a boring party.

A Glock is a semi-automatic pistol made mostly of plastic, which helps it to resist rust; because of this they are used by the Navy Seals, and are particularly well suited for carrying around underwater (if you're so inclined).
(Note: If you are not already aware, it should be remembered that when firing a Glock underwater the bullet decelerates at roughly 1090 fps/ps (feet per second/per second) faster than above water, making them fairly easy to avoid at ranges further than around 8 feet. Distance will vary depending on water salinity and depth.)
While usually very reliable, the Glock is prone to jamming when used by "limp wristed shooters," particularly those using too light a load, as the recoil is transferred to movement of the hand rather than chambering the next round..

(2nd Note: The Glock and Spiel is not to be confused with the Glockenspiel, a German percussion instrument, originally a set of graduated bells, later a set of tuned steel bars (i.e., a metallophone) originally struck with wood, ebonite, or, sometimes, metal hammers, and later fired at with small caliber handguns.)
