Hi Ed,

I am pretty sure the Intel 16745150c is a 1K x 1 gold side brazed ceramic memory chip. K8329 is not the date code. This chip was probably made between 1973-75. Intel was small potatoes back then.

The Mostek MK4027P-3 is a 4K x 1 gold side brazed ceramic memory chip. It was the second generation chip (improvement of the MK 4096) to use "address multiplexing", invented by Mostek. The P-3 designation was speed (access time). 7623 is the date code.

The gold ceramic side brazed eventually gave was\y to non-gold DIP ceramic chips the finally DIP plastic cassings. Go old USA cost reduction. I never saw a part designed by a foeiegn country until 1979, it was made by Hitachi and very awful. Boy, times have changed.

Cheerfully,

Joe "Gizmo"    (6/2008)
